The nicest feedback

I love reading the feedback that my Etsy customers leave me. I really do have some of the sweetest clients. I just received this feedback last night, and it made my entire evening. Thanks, Alaria, you are so kind! :)

Love a Tree rag quilt...

"This quilt is even lovilier than the picture suggests! I can't begin to say how pleased I am with this item!!! Buying this was the smartest thing I've done all year."

Deep Water patchwork blanket...

"Looks exactly like this picture and is VERY VERY SOFT. If you're reading this and haven't made up your mind to purchase - let me help you - BUY IT NOW. You won't regret it!"

Etsy Gift Guides

I discovered Etsy in December of 2008, and since then, one of my favorite features of the entire site has been the Gift Guides. I love browsing through each and every section, finding new artisans and products. These guides are full of items chosen by the Etsy staff (besides one guide where you can purchase advertising spots), so it is always fun to see what catches their eye.
While browsing through the guides a week or two ago, and I found two of my items are currently being featured... yay!!!

This patchwork blanket is featured in the baby guide:

and this set is featured in the spring cleaning and decor guide:

If you have never seen these guides, make sure to click on those links to check them out. They really are wonderful collections.

Psstt.... stop back next Friday for a special sale on my gift guide features.... :)

New this weekend - 5/23/09

the Canary Blossom rag quilt...

the Summer Breeze Collection (set of 5 or you pick 3)

Don't forget to check back every Friday for my weekly shop update!

So nice to wake up to...

The other morning, I flipped on my laptop to check my orders for the day. I clicked on the Etsy link from my favorites list, and it took me to the front page. And what I pleasant surprise I found waiting for me! My Citrus Splash dishcloths were right there on the front page. How nice! Etsy admin chose them while browsing through housewares. It would be nice to start every day that way. :) Here is the pretty collection...

150 sales!

Today I reached my 150th sale... yay! I am just so excited, it is such a great number to be at. What a blast I am having. I have enjoyed every single item that I have created so far, and am totally thrilled to be doing what I am doing. It is funny, I did not even plan to start a shop on Etsy. It kind of just happened. I am blown away by the joy and fun that I have and the wonderful people that I have met. The world of Etsy is such a wonderful thing to be apart of.

So back to my sales... when I reached my 50th sale, I treated myself to this amazing bag:

for my 100th sale, this bag...

and now for my 150th sale, I am thinking about one of these two bags.... which one do you like the best?

Can you tell I enjoy a good bag? :)

PS- I think I'm leaning towards the first bag...

Raggedy Owl in the Storque

Do you ever read the articles in the Storque (the Etsy blog)? I really enjoy them. There are so many different topics covered, and I love reading about the featured vendors. My favorite articles are always from the Quit Your Day Job series. Although I used to teach elementary school, I love staying home with my boys and working part-time through Etsy.
Since I enjoy the Storque so much, I was very pleased to have my dishcloths featured in one of their articles and emails. It is a great one about going green, and my funky bold crocheted dishcloths were included. Check out this great article: It's Easy Being Green.
