yesterday in pictures

My favorite flowers have finally bloomed!  They have been cut and dispersed around my house.

Some new fabric arrived for my Farmer's Wife quilt.  I picked some of my favorite prints from the new 1000 Peeps (Lizzy House) and Loulouthi (Anna Maria Horner), along with a little Parisville (Tula Pink).  I have another small package coming in this week too.

The view from my dining room sewing room.  Love it.

A little helper left his Panda mask on the the dining room table sewing table.  Eli made this in vacation Bible school last week, and has been wearing it everyday since.  He loves Po from Kung Fu Panda (so much that he named one of our new cows after him... cute!)

My journal for 52 Lists, 52 Weeks.  I am using this pretty one my bff Vanesa (you remember her, I gave her this quilt) and my favorite pen.

Week 1's list.  I crossed them all off before the day was up.

And last, my first Swoon block!  I think she's pretty.

i always put easily achieved things at the top of my lists to trick myself into feeling that i CAN get the other things done. after many years, it still works. heh.

  8. Okay, that Swoon block. Whew. She's a stunner.

What is so satisfying about crossing things off of lists? I love that feeling.

Put beautiful flower in vase. Check. See? It feels so good to cross things off!! Especially if you get to use a really snazzy journal for listing. :-)

I can't believe all the cute fabric I'm seeing everywhere for all these Farmer's Wife quilt alongers. It's chipping away at my resolve. My very weak and seemingly worthless resolve to finish more projects than I start!

  17. I LOVE the blooming Peonies. My husband and I are looking to buy a house right now, and I almost put an offer in on one just because there were 15 peony bushes and they were all in bloom. Probably not the best reason to buy a house, but oh well.

I am tempted to follow along with the FW quilt along, but I think I may have the same dilemma you did, how on Earth do you narrow down a color scheme? My head might explode.

  18. My sons just finished the Panda Mania VBS program last week. (I'm not sure it's the same curriculum but it sure was fun. We're still singing all those songs and rocking to the drums.) Love your list and the fact that it was dated 7/11/11. Vacuuming is not on my list but it should be. :-)
