During a fun weekend full of the beach, Mr. Popper's Penguins at the movie theater, church, plus time with family and friends, I somehow managed to squeeze in a bit of sewing time. Two more Swoon blocks done, only two more to go (I think). I snapped a couple shots when I got home from the gym this morning.
These are my favorite so far, though I'm pretty sure I say that after I finish every block. I am both excited and sad to finish these up, I have enjoyed making them so much. I love Camille's pattern, and I love sewing with Anna Maria Horner's Good Folks.
I hope your week is starting out well!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Those are MY favorites, for sure!
ReplyDeleteThey are just lovely!!
ReplyDeletei think it only now occurred to me how big these are! they are huge! and once again, your fabric choices are impeccable.

ReplyDeletethe second one is my favorite, such a perfectly bold contrast!
ReplyDeleteSo. Much. Fun! I love seeing these and I'm also going to be sad when your project is over.
ReplyDeleteHey, how was Mr. Popper's Penguins? We're reading the book and it occurred to me to consider taking my kids (6 and 4.5) to see it. They've never been the movies, because we don't do TV for them, so this would be really special. I wonder if it's pretty tame? Like ridiculously tame? I'm a shelterer....
Beautiful! Love those fabrics so much :)
ReplyDeletelove THEM!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks! So bright and cheery :)
ReplyDeleteOH I LOVE YOUR SWOON BLOCKS! I really need to make more than a mini! Beautiful!

I always have an inner struggle on whether or not I should comment on something made from one of my patterns. It's just awkward, you know??
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, I LOOOVE these. Like I could eat them, they are so delicious. LOVE the fabric, and the piecing? It is perfect. You are the piecing master.
Two more incoherent comments to follow at all hours of the night.
Beautiful! Your blocks are what inspired me to start this quilt myself. I totally love the pattern.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I'm so tempted by this pattern!
ReplyDeleteUhm, I have a favorite :) I love the gold and purple that is a striking combo!
ReplyDeleteNice blocks per usual. I just wanted to say that I am enjoying the "Farmer's Wife" flickr group pictures. There are a lot of talented quilters out there. There is such a diversity of fabric. Thank you so much for being the co-host for this project.
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS colours here...!!
ReplyDeleteman, these are beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteAngela, I am envious right now. I LOVE your blocks and can't wait to see this one finished up. I can only imagine!
