Talk about a rough week! This past one was pretty tough. I had some odd mix of seasonal allergies (which is a completely new development) and a terribly sore neck that kept me on the couch for days. No sewing for me, not even a stitch. I ventured out with the family Wednesday night to visit the local fair, but besides that, we were home. Not a fun way to spend one of the last couple weeks of summer!
I'm feeling quite a bit better today, so I thought I'd take out my Swoon quilt top and snap a couple quick shots. I can't wait to get back to this project. It really is such a great pattern, I love how these corners and sashing meet up. And did you see my friend Amanda's swoon quilt yet? I think I might steal it.
Time to get back to the sewing machine, I need to catch up on my Farmer's Wife blocks!
xo, Ang
awesome, you know you made me go ahead and buy the pattern. :) I really fell in love with the big blocks! sorry you were sick, no fun. I've gotten allergies this summer too, never before, so weird.
ReplyDeleteLove this pattern and love your color/fabric choices. Get well soon!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I love it! I REALLY need to do one myself!! Sure hope you keep feeling better!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to post a comment after I read how you were feeling when you were sick. I am a pediatric nurse and usually do kids, so I could be waaaay off, but it sounds like you had a viral meningitis. Really sore neck, cold/flu symptoms, runny nose, headache, basically blah.
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing at least 1-2 kids per week with it right now at the hospital, so just a thought. Treatment is nothing more than supportive care, Tylenol, fluids, tissues, rest, etc which it sounds like you've been doing. Can take anywhere from 3-7 days to get it out of your system. Hope you feel better soon!
That pattern is just awesome! I can't wait to see it when your done. Going over to look at Amanda's now.:)
ReplyDeleteLOVE this one! I comment with each block, I know. Can't wait to see this baby all finished up. I can send you my address if you steal Amanda's and want to pass yours on to me...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! Love the colours and the white sashings!
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern and especially that you are using Good Folks!!! I can't wait to see it all finished!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it! Can't wait to see the whole thing...and especially to see it quilted...it's so inspiring!
ReplyDeleteLooking fabulous! Those are such awesome fabrics to start, and I'm not sure there's anything that would look bad in that swoon pattern. Together they're amazing! (I think I may steal Amanda's quilt too!)
ReplyDeleteOh it's so beautiful!! Pretty pictures, too. I'm glad you're feeling better, m'dear. :)
ReplyDeleteI knew I would fall in love! I got the pattern awhile back but haven't started because I don't have a 1/4" foot. Do you think if I alter the measurements when I'm cutting, it'll work out? As always, your quilts are amazing!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better. Time to have some more fun with your FWQAL.
ReplyDeleteOh, it's so amazing! Seeing your blocks is one of the reasons I bought the pattern for myself. I made my first block this weekend, and I can't wait to cut into the next fabrics. Seriously, I love your new quilt top!
ReplyDeleteoh you're such a tease. When do we get the full reveal? :)

ReplyDeleteI love the swoon quilt! Every time I see your blocks I think I might need to get that pattern!
ReplyDeleteI've also been feeling the allergies, so I can commiserate-- hopefully they'll be done soon!
Angela, I really love the cohesiveness of your quilt! I just joined Katy's swoon QAL and think I must go with a lt.gray background as you have done. Out of all the swoon blocks I've seen, I love yours best!
